Hi everyone! We are in week 12!!!!!!
Thank you to all those who came to Boiler Awakening 29, and for all those who helped staff it! Without you all, it would not have been possible. If you were not there this weekend, we missed you and hope to see you in the future!
This Sunday, the Gospel of John told the story of Jesus healing the blind man. Jesus' disciples asked Him if the man had sinned to cause the blindness. Jesus answered that the blind man is perfect because the works of God will be visible through him.
God meets us where we are at. When we are going through difficult trials, Jesus helps us carry our crosses. He uses these times to shine through to others, and to help guide our life with the Holy Spirit and those around us. In the Gospel, the seeing, blind man asks who the Son of Man is. To this, Jesus replies that He is the one speaking.
This past week, I was in adoration. That day, I was truly yearning to know Jesus and to be known by Him. Then, I suddenly realized that He already knows me and that, in my times of struggle, joy, and prayer, I am blessed to know Him. Jesus has taken our crosses, and He has used them to allow us the freedom of His love. Through this unconditional love, God works through us so that we can spread His good news to the world.
As we are now halfway through Lent, think about your own crosses. What burdens do you bear right now? How is God working through you during these times? God loves each and every one of us, and I will be praying for you all to have a Christ-filled and fruitful week!!
