Welcome back from spring break! Hopefully you feel rejuvenated and ready to finish the semester!
Over spring break, I was a part of the Florida mission trip with Habitat for Humanity. As a person who's never worked in true construction, there was quite a bit of learning involved. Even though I only hit nails 50% of the time, the work of the entire group, together, was successful. Together, we were able to advance the project one step further.Â
In the first reading on Sunday, we heard God telling Moses to go save His people from the Egyptians. Moses was a shepherd tending his flock before God called upon him to be part of His plan. The Lord called upon him, and Moses answered yes, despite the human fear that possessed him. It is scary when we think we have our whole life planned out, only for us to later see where God plans to send us instead.
Like Moses, we are called to our own vocations, to participate in the Lord's will. By all of us working together, just like a construction crew, we are able to spread the Gospel, through the lives we live and do our part in God's will.
This week, I challenge you all to consider how you live your life. Do you shine God's light through you in every word spoken and action taken? As we prepare for His coming, how can we ensure we have a place in our hearts for Him? I believe in you all, and I will be praying for you!!
